Masdar Institute and Masdar PV Sign Agreement for Three Research Projects

Dubai, Jan. 18 -- Masdar Organization of Science and Technology, an independent, research-driven graduate-level university focused on advanced dynamism and sustainable technologies, today announced it has signed a strategic master research partnership agreement with Masdar PV GmbH, cardinal German-based manufacturer of photovoltaic films.



* Projects to cover areas including transparent conductive oxide, modeling and unclear management

The agreement was signed at the Masdar Institute stand during the Word Future Energy Summit 2012 by Dr Fred Moavenzadeh, President of Masdar Alliance, and Ho Ty Trinh, CEO of Masdar PV. Dr Steve Griffith, Executive Director of Institute Initiatives, was present on the occasion.

Organized under the aegis of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, WFES 2012 opened on 16 January at the Abu Dhabi National Expo Centre.

Sunforce 50032 15 Watt Solar Battery Charger Review

I purchased 6 of these for a backup system for my institution. Two Northern units and 4 Sunforce units all 15 watt. ( these are the true same units btw, northern's are cheaper). With two inverters, a 2500 watt, and a 300 watt upright sinewave for computers and such. Hooked through a 7 amp burden controller to a brace of 110 amp hour deep-rooted cells in analogous for a amount of 220 amp hr's. I first hooked two panels up to see how they did, they worked well in very low fluorescence but couldn't ever get the batteries to "full" on the controller. I then hooked up a third panel and that gave enough to fetch the batteries to full after a full day. With six panels hooked up, it will unseat the batteries to "full" in a very few hours from a 30% drained ready. These units are less then optimally placed and on occasions get full sun, but do very well even without that. Two panels in full sun may very well have been clever to conduct the batteries to "full" but fingers on is a predicament for me....
