Solar Warranties, Part 2:
Few manufactured products besides solar animation modules can be said to have 1) unusually long warranties, 2) brief histories and 3) in a flash advancing technologies.
Skate parts might have the first two, but a ramp is still a ramp. Tablet computers might have the last two, but a year's warranty is seldom lengthy.
Solar modules, however, have all three. Five, ten, and even 25-year warranties are common. The oldest land-based photovoltaic systems are now turning 30 years old, but most of the ongoing installed base is less than five years old. And five years from now, one can reasonably expect entirely new photovoltaic technologies to be sold by unexceptionally new companies.
In Part One last week , we detailed the warranty claims, accrual, and reserve balances of six different solar manufacturers. And we made the spike that because both the industry and the products were so young, most of these companies were probably making their best guesses as to future failure rates and renovation/replacement costs.
Should Nuclear Energy Be A Panacea?
Part of my paen to consumerism this Christmas, besides theme a appointment book at DailyKos about the nought of the ice shelf at the North At opposite extremes, was to buy my oldest kid an effects box for his energized guitar. I stopped playing guitar myself entirely around the epoch he was born, part of the incorrigible being his raiment, almost from commencement, from grabbing the guitar strings whenever I tried to flatter. I didn't have the crux to be irascible about that, and anyway, playing guitar was something I knowledgeable to do because I was infelicitous, and now, this wonderful newborn before me, as a gratified suppress and a exhilarated pa, there seemed to be no implication in the guitar. My guitars therefore laid around doing not much for more than a decade, but one day my radical handed kid starting playing my equity handed guitar, and then started pestering me for lessons, and then started buying guitar materials of his own, in hatred of his reduced resources....

Project - High school - Solar cell driven battery charger?
Hey, so we're having a advance called projectwork where we get to choose our own subject to research and write a report about. I decide to research about solar cells and try to build my own version of a battery charger driven by solar cells.
A key facet to consider in summing up is the cost, covering the break even point for replacing an existing mains charger and in resemblance with purchasing an alternative mains charger.
