Recognizing the "ripe growth potential" in Asia, Oerlikon has said it is looking to strengthen its presence in the region. A part of this involves its new partnership with CRES.
According to a account released, the two parties will jointly promote the benefits of Oerlikon’s thin film technology in China. A major aim, says professor Shi Dinghuan, chairman of CRES, is to "exalt the development and the application of renewable energy in China in a holistic way."
The proposed activities by the two parties involve research into thin film, execution of demonstration projects, advising on government policy and organizing such forums as the 2012 Symposium on Thin Film Solar Power Cell Technology.
Shi Dinghuan continued, "The International Cooperation Center of the Society will not only provide Chinese renewable force enterprises with opportunities of international cooperation and exchange, but also help international enterprises to develop in China.
