I heard recently that solar cells use up efficiency once they heat up to a certain temperature. I live in sunny Phoenix, AZ, where the high today is 110 (tomorrow is 114).
Wow, that's cooler than I expected for this just the same from time to time of year.
As for your question, yes they do drop in efficiency when they heat up. The solution has always been to put in a larger array than you needed.
